Felicity Kendal bows out of Strictly Come Dancing

Felicity Kendal

In tonight's Strictly Come Dancing results show, from the world famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom, Felicity Kendal was voted off, becoming the seventh celebrity to leave the competition.

The combination of the judges' scores and viewer votes meant Patsy and Felicity were in the bottom two with Felicity and her partner Vincent being eliminated.

Of Felicity and Vincent's dance, the judges said:

Craig Revel Horwood: "I would have liked to have seen a little bit more rise and fall throughout the routine. More efficient spotting when you do your spins. Also, the transitions I thought were very good going in and out of the lifts and that final position actually could have been helped a little bit more actually, if you'd just opened your foot up. But apart from that I thought it was great."

Len Goodman: "I thought the lifts were excellent. You got into them and out of them beautifully well. I thought the whole thing had a neat nice feel about it, but lacked movement. Should have just had a bit more movement round the room but very well done."

Alesha Dixon: "Yeah it did lack rise and fall but I actually think you did a really good job. I liked the lifts, the transitions in and out were really good, it was delicate, you had a classy approach and I think that was your best dance Felicity."

After their elimination, Felicity said: "I've been on the most extraordinary journey. I couldn't believe that I'd ever come this far, I couldn't believe I would have ever danced this well, I wouldn't of missed a second of it, I'm so happy to be here now."

The celebrities who also competed this week and escaped elimination were: Kara Tointon, Gavin Henson, Matt Baker, Patsy Kensit, Ann Widdecombe, Scott Maslen and Pamela Stephenson.

Couples danced an American Smooth or a Samba.

Tonight saw performances from Duffy and Cirque Du Soleil from the Blackpool Tower ballroom.

All remaining couples will be dancing next week to either a Ballroom or Latin dance that they haven't yet performed
