Radio Ulster remains Northern Ireland's most listened to radio station

Â鶹Éç Radio Ulster remains the number one listened to radio station in Northern Ireland with an average weekly audience of 498,000 listeners tuning in each week, according to the latest RAJAR figures for Quarter Four, 2009.

The five highest performing Radio Ulster programmes during the quarter, according to average weekly reach, are:

  • The Stephen Nolan Show, broadcast Monday-Friday, 9.00-10.30am, 139,000 listeners
  • Gardeners' Corner, broadcast Saturday, 9.00-9.30am, 108,000 listeners
  • Good Morning Ulster, broadcast Monday-Friday, 6.30-9.00am, 102,000 listeners
  • On Your Behalf, broadcast Monday-Friday, 10.30am-12noon, 98,000 listeners
  • Your Place And Mine, broadcast on Saturday, 8.00-9.00am, 89,000 listeners

These latest Rajar figures show a drop of 19,000 listeners to the station year-on-year (517,000 listeners in Q4 2008) and a drop of 56,000 listeners quarter-on-quarter (554,000 listeners in Q3 2009).

Â鶹Éç Radio Foyle, meanwhile, has an average weekly audience of 28,000 listeners.
