Â鶹Éç Cymru Wales has appointed Geoff Williams as its Head of Sport.

The former Senior Producer of Wales Today and Editor of Radio Wales News, Geoff has been Acting Head of Sport since Nigel Walker was promoted to Head of Change and Internal Communications in December 2008.

Every year Â鶹Éç Wales Sport produces more than 200 hours of TV, 1,000 hours of radio output and round-the-clock new media content.

Geoff Williams was educated at Haverfordwest Grammar School.

Before joining the Â鶹Éç he was a general reporter with the Western Telegraph and then the South Wales Echo.
