Richard Deverell, Controller, Â鶹Éç Children's, today announces the appointment of Louise Bucknole as Head of Scheduling, Â鶹Éç Children's. She starts her new role this week.

Louise will oversee the scheduling for more than 200 hours of programming across CÂ鶹Éç and CBeebies each week.

She replaces Philip Stagg, who is now Head of Planning and Scheduling, Â鶹Éç HD channel.

Louise says: "I'm thrilled to be joining the Â鶹Éç Children's team and have the opportunity to work on bringing innovative and diverse programming content to the children's audience across the growing multi-platforms."

Louise was previously at Disney Channel, where she was Senior Manager Programme Planning, heading the schedule strategy and programme planning team for Disney Channel, Playhouse Disney and Disney Cinemagic in the UK and Ireland.

At Disney Channel, Louise worked on the launch of Hannah Montana series three, animation Phineas & Ferb, original movies High School Musical 2 and Camp Rock, pre-school show Special Agent Oso and Disney Pixar premieres Cars and Ratatouille.

Previously Louise was the CITV Scheduler, then acting CITV Channel Editor, working across ITV1 and part of the management team that planned, branded and launched the CITV channel for the multi-channel environment with GMTV in 2006.

In November 2008, CÂ鶹Éç won Children's Channel of the Year at the Children's BAFTAs.

It remains one of the most-loved children's channels, reaching more six to 12-year-olds than any other channel.

CBeebies remains the most-watched channel for the under-sixes reaching more than double the audience of its pre-school competitors.
