Pirates introduced to Â鶹Éç Electric Proms


Pete and the Pirates, General Fiasco, Chew Lips and Pull In Emergency are to play a Â鶹Éç Introducing night in Camden later this month as part of the Â鶹Éç Electric Proms 2008.

Â鶹Éç Introducing at the Electric Proms takes place at Proud Galleries on Sunday 26 October – tickets went on sale at 9.00am today via the Â鶹Éç Electric Proms site at bbc.co.uk/electricproms

The gig will also be broadcast on Â鶹Éç Radio 1 on Wednesday 29 October.

Â鶹Éç Electric Proms is a five-day festival, dedicated to creating new moments in music, that takes place in London and Liverpool from 22 to 26 October.

Â鶹Éç Introducing brings together the best unsigned, undiscovered and under-the-radar music, artists and DJs from across the Â鶹Éç.

Ìý

All the Â鶹Éç's supporters of unsigned music have joined forces to bring listeners the newest artists from across the UK.

Electric Proms on the Â鶹Éç

Ìý

The festival can be viewed and heard via a number of different platforms on the Â鶹Éç.

Ìý

Radio – there will be live and recorded broadcasts from all areas of the festival on Â鶹Éç Radio 1, Â鶹Éç Radio 2, 1Xtra, Â鶹Éç 6 Music, Â鶹Éç Asian Network and Â鶹Éç Radio Merseyside.

Ìý

TV – highlights from this year's Â鶹Éç Electric Proms will be screened on Â鶹Éç Two and Â鶹Éç Four with additional performances available to digital viewers via their red button interactive service.

Online – performances will be available to watch for a week after the festival along with photos and interviews at bbc.co.uk/electricproms.
