Royal Ascot on Â鶹Éç Sport: extensive live coverage

Â鶹Éç Sport will provide extensive coverage of this year's Royal Ascot – the world's most famous flat race meeting, where the pinnacles of sport and fashion coincide.

And for the first time this year dedicated followers of fashion will get a chance to showcase their outfits on a specially designed catwalk in the new Fashion Corner on the plaza lawns.

Exclusive, live action from the five day festival will commence on Tuesday 17 June at 1.45pm on Â鶹Éç One.
Ìý
Lead presenter Clare Balding will be joined by former five times British champion jockey, Willie Carson.
Ìý
Commentary on the runners and riders will be delivered by Jim McGrath, with expert analysis from Ian Bartlett, Ray Cochrane and former champion jockey, Kevin Darley.
Ìý
Roving reporter Rishi Persad will provide reports from around the course and the Â鶹Éç's betting expert Angus Loughran will be on hand to give hints and tips on the market.

Â鶹Éç presenter Julia Bradbury and style writer James Sherwood will be on hand to assess each day's fashions – with looking good being as important as picking the winner for many Ascot race goers.

Throughout the week they will be joined by a series of special guests including former model Lisa Snowden and Strictly Come Dancing star, Anton Du Beke, who will be talking about what's hot and what's not at this year'sÌýraces.

Television coverage will begin at 1.45pm on Â鶹Éç One from Tuesday 17 June to Friday 20 June, transferring to Â鶹Éç Two at 3.20pm each day.

Coverage on Saturday 21 June begins at 2.15pm on Â鶹Éç Two.

UK users of the Â鶹Éç Sport website will also be able to watch all the big races of the festival at bbc.co.uk/racing.

In addition, there will be daily photo galleries of the racing action and fashions, live updates, plus contributions from Â鶹Éç pundits.

Â鶹Éç Radio 5 Live brings coverage of all five days of Royal Ascot, with comedian Kevin Day joining racing correspondent Cornelius Lysaght as joint presenter for the first time.

Completing the team are Luke Harvey and John Hunt on commentary duty bringing all the action from the track.

Coverage from Tuesday 17 to Friday 20 June will air daily through the Simon Mayo programme (1.00-4.00pm) and on Saturday 21 June coverage will broadcast during 5 Live Sport from noon.
