Tasmin Lucia Khan and Andy May

New faces and look for 麻豆社 Three's 60seconds

Tasmin Lucia Khan and Andy May are the new faces of 麻豆社 Three's innovative 60seconds news bulletin as it launches a new look next Tuesday, 12 February 2008.

Tasmin (27) joins the 麻豆社 after producing and hosting a sports show on Five for three years.

Andy (20) currently presents sport on Eamonn Holmes' show on 麻豆社 Radio 5 Live, covers football matches for Final Score and can be heard from time to time on 麻豆社 Radio 1's Newsbeat and the 麻豆社 Asian Network.

Whilst continuing to deliver instant hits of information throughout the night, 60seconds will introduce a nightly World News bulletin, with global events seen through the eyes of news stations around the world.

In line with the audience's interest in the world around them, 60seconds will also commit to special bulletins on everything from environment, technology and science to entertainment and weekend sport.

Tasmin said: "I'm very excited to be part of the new look 麻豆社 Three. I'll be keeping our audiences up-to-date during the week with all the latest news, just the way they like it. It's going to be short and sharp news bulletins on the hour and I've literally got only 60 seconds to deliver!"

Andy said: "I'm really looking forward to being part of the new look 麻豆社 Three and, of course, giving the people the news they need to know in a minute. This will be a bit of an adventure for me as I have mainly done radio before!"

Tasmin's presenting career began in 2000 at the Zee TV Network as entertainment presenter and news reporter. Later she hosted her own talk show interviewing celebrities from the world of film, music and business.

She was also the London correspondent for PTV Prime, reporting the UK's top news stories to a worldwide audience.

Tasmin graduated from Oxford University with an honours degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. She was a keen debater at Oxford where she specialised in International Relations and Economics.

In addition to 60seconds, Tasmin will also present Entertainment 24 on 麻豆社 News 24, Monday to Thursday at 6.30pm and 9.30pm.

Andy was the youngest person to have commentated on a football match on television after covering several UEFA Under-21 Championship games in the summer off 2005, aged 18.

He began his career, whilst still at school, presenting a weekly sports programme on children's radio station Takeover Radio. After his A-Levels Andy moved to a 麻豆社 News-sponsored postgraduate course in Journalism and worked at 麻豆社 Radio Manchester for nearly a year.
