Ashley Jensen talks to Graham about her new celebrity friends in LA

Extras star Ashley Jensen and Wicked thespian Miriam Margolyes join Graham Norton this week for the penultimate edition of his Â鶹Éç Two series, The Graham Norton Show.

Ìý

Ashley talks about her new celebrity friends in LA where she met both the Beckhams during the filming of Ugly Betty:

Ìý

"David Beckham came on to the set so I pretended I cared about football. I said 'can you speak Spanish', he said he could speak it 85%. He was economical with his words, he has a tiny mouse voice for one who is such an Adonis.

Ìý

"Victoria was lovely, what was weird for me was seeing someone like her as a three-dimensional human being. We sat in the make-up trailer together, she's a style icon but to be fair to her she didn't bring a big entourage."

Ìý

"'I think David's actually quite a sweet bloke," adds Miriam, "but he needs some help. His diction is terrible!"

Ìý

Miriam reveals that she's a closet royalist – one of her biggest fans is HRH The Prince of Wales: "I don't like talking about it because I felt so thrilled [to meet him], it was a wonderful thing. I think he's a dear and I don't want people to be mean about him."

Ìý

Ashley says she's still star-struck in her new home, LA: "I'm still deeply excited when I see a famous person."

Ìý

And as for Extras, she says: "Ricky admitted in the second series that Maggie was even more stupid, he likens Maggie and Andy to Laurel and Hardy."

Ìý

She refuses to rule out a sequel to the special: "It's never an end unless you die."

Ìý

At Christmas, Ashley will be "in Scotland, traditional, sitting about, wheeling out the port and Stilton, and I make people play games."

Ìý

Whereas Miriam says: "I don't do anything, I don't like it. I stay at home and eat. I think it's a waste of time, quite honestly!"

Ìý

Graham is also joined by Mika who performs new single Relax, Take It Easy live in the studio.

Ìý

The Graham Norton Show is a So Television production for Â鶹Éç Two.
