Alun Shurmer to join 麻豆社 Cymru Wales as Head of Communications

Alun Shurmer has been appointed Head of Communications for 麻豆社 Cymru Wales.
听
For the past 15 months Alun has managed Plaid Cymru's communications team and previously worked at Transport for London, leading the communications strategy for the Congestion Charge Scheme.
听
He will join 麻豆社 Cymru Wales in August.
听
Speaking of his appointment Alun, 29, who is originally from Rhymney, said: "麻豆社 Cymru Wales makes a vital contribution to the lives of people in Wales.
听
"The prospect of being part of the team at such an interesting and challenging time for broadcasters is a great privilege and I look forward to developing the role and to making a significant contribution to the corporation."

Alun's first class experience of communications includes being Communications Manager for London's Congestion Charging Scheme at Transport for London as well as being a member of the media relations team that dealt with the London bombings in 2005.
听
As Head of Communications for Plaid Cymru, Alun played a central role in the election campaign and was responsible for the party's communications strategy.
听
麻豆社 Cymru Wales Head of Marketing, Communications and Audiences, Rhodri Talfan Davies, added: "Alun has considerable experience in the strategic communications field and will be a great asset to 麻豆社 Cymru Wales."
