The network's fundraising activities, including the 'auction of things money can't buy' on Wake Up To Wogan and the 24 Hour Music Marathon, have already proven a success for the 26th Children in Need.

Ìý

Ray, the star of the series Extreme Survival, will teach them how to survive in the wild over a weekend. They'll be taught how to make fire and other types of bushcraft.

Ìý

The chance to team up with Terry Wogan and be grilled by Chris Tarrant on the Christmas edition of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? to try and win money for Children in Need sold for £40,000.

Ìý

A game of golf with Terry and his producer Paul Walters in Dubai went for £40,000 and a generous bidder has paid £17,000 to appear in a special edition of Â鶹Éç Radio 4's The Archers with Terry.

Ìý

Plus, the chance to headline your own Radio 2 show at a top London venue went for £19,500.

Ìý

A Epiphone Hummingbird guitar signed by all four of the Rolling Stones went for £15,500 and a game of tennis with Radio 2's Jonathan Ross at the world-famous Queen's Club in Kensington went for £11,600.

Ìý

The total raised by the auction was £439,100.

Ìý

Terry Wogan paid tribute to his listeners for their contributions.

Ìý

He said: "As always I am amazed by the fantastic generosity of our listeners who every year dig deeper into their pockets for Children in Need."

Ìý

The 24 hour Music Marathon ran from 7.00pm on Thursday (17 November) to 7.00pm today with listeners calling in to make requests, dedications and pledge money.
