The 麻豆社 is to launch a Ukrainian language version of the latest edition of its code of journalist ethics and host a debate on public broadcasting in Ukraine.

At a special event in Kyiv on Wednesday 23 November, Director of 麻豆社 World Service, Nigel Chapman, will officially launch Editorial Guidelines - the 麻豆社's Values and Standards in Ukrainian.

The document will then facilitate a major round table discussion with Ukrainian media experts.

Nigel Chapman said: "For us at the 麻豆社, this small volume is something very precious. It is a cornerstone of our daily activity, a distillation of experience, common sense and values built up by the 麻豆社 over many decades.

"We are proud of the fact that the 麻豆社 Guidelines are considered a useful and respected point of reference by media professionals all over the world."

Head of 麻豆社 Ukrainian Service, Maciek Bernatt-Reszczynski, added: "By publishing a Ukrainian language edition of our Guidelines, we want to share our editorial standards with colleagues in the Ukrainian media.
