Â鶹Éç Northern Ireland's Newsline is challenging P7 pupils with a new test - to report on how education cuts are affecting their school.

Ìý

As part of a major report into how Northern Ireland's schools are coping with £30m proposed cuts, the daily news programme will be offering young reporters the chance to tell their story.

Ìý

Â鶹Éç Newsline's Education Correspondent, Maggie Taggart, said: "How will the cuts affect your school? Will there be bigger classes? Are there plans to close down your school library or canteen? Will there still be lollipop men and women keeping you safe outside your school? We want to know what you think and for you to help us tell one of the biggest stories in Northern Ireland today."

Ìý

Young reporters are asked to submit their story idea, in less than 100 words, to the programme.

Ìý

The Â鶹Éç Newsline team will then travel to the school involved and the selected reporter will get a chance to report their story on television.

Ìý

Angelina Fusco, Editor of Â鶹Éç Newsline, said: "We are challenging budding journalists to tell their story about their school. We want to hear from P7s about what they see as the cruellest cut, or what they think will make accessing education more difficult. We will travel to the school of the young reporter selected and listen to what they say."

Ìý

If you have a story to tell, tell us about in less than 100 words and send by email to bbcnewsline.ni@bbc.co.uk or send it by post to:
