麻豆社 News and the Press Association to trial distribution arrangement

麻豆社 News and The Press Association (PA) have announced the start of a trial service to deliver raw 麻豆社 News material to broadcasters outside the UK on the day of transmission.

The Press Association would, on behalf of 麻豆社 News, distribute and license on-the-day natural sound material from the Breakfast, One O'clock, Six O'clock and Ten O'clock News programmes.

Commenting on the agreement, Adrian van Klaveren, Head of Newsgathering, 麻豆社 News said: "We are happy to trial this service as we have for some time been asked by other broadcasters for better access to our material.

"This trial with the PA will allow us to cater to that need in a way that benefits all involved and helps us make the most of the pictures we shoot around the world."

Sean Curtis-Ward, Head of TV and Radio, The Press Association, added: "We are delighted to trial on-the-day delivery of 麻豆社 News material.

"This trial extends our existing deal with 麻豆社 Worldwide to distribute footage 24 hours after transmission, a service we have been successfully providing since June 2003.

"Our relationship with 麻豆社 News reinforces our position as a central distribution service for all broadcasters and a multimedia news agency."
