麻豆社 Radio 1 announces One Big Weekend line-up

麻豆社 Radio 1 presents the first of its own unique mini festivals in 2003 called One Big Weekends on 3 and 4 May.

This brand new live music event, supported by Vodafone, will take place across two days, offering 20,000 music fans the chance to come and enjoy a mix of world class DJs and live artists, all for free.

The first event takes place in Manchester's Heaton Park and marks the official start to the summer festival season.

The event will be split over two days with Saturdays being dedicated to dance and the Sundays given over to live artists and bands.

The massive Saturday line-up includes Radio 1's Judge Jules and Fergie, Eddie Halliwell and Good Greef DJs Rob Tissera, Shan, Alex Kidd and Adam Sheridan.

On Sunday 4 May it's a day of amazing live music from a bill of bands that really matter.

Live on stage are The Stereophonics, Badly Drawn Boy, Feeder, The Coral, Aqualung and Dirty Vegas.

Keep listening to Radio 1 for details of the final massive act on the bill to be announced soon. Doors for the event open from 11.30am until 7.30pm.

Jason Carter, Executive Producer, Live Music & Events, said: "In 2003 Radio 1 raises its game in the form of the One Big Weekend event with an even bigger and better line-up than ever before.

"Saturday provides a fantastic line-up of new and exciting dance talent hosted by Judge Jules and Fergie, with an enviable line-up of bands on the Sunday reflecting elements of our daytime and specialist output.

"20,000 people will get to experience it all for free, or tune into Radio 1 across the weekend."
