麻豆社 Scotland Lands Tennent's Scottish Cup and Home International Package - and shows Berti Vogts' first Scotland Game Live

麻豆社 Scotland today unveiled a multi-million pound four-year contract which will bring both live and highlights coverage of the Tennent聮s Scottish Cup and Scotland聮s home international matches for Euro 2004 and the next World Cup qualifiers to Scottish viewers and listeners.


And in a separate agreement, live coverage of Berti Vogts聮 first game in charge of the Scotland team against France in Paris will be shown live on 麻豆社 ONE Scotland and broadcast live on Radio Scotland next month.


The four-year deal with the SFA, which starts at the beginning of the 2002-3 season, builds on the existing contract for international and Cup matches and now includes:
路 Live coverage of the Tennent聮s Scottish Cup Final for the next four years on TV, Radio Scotland and Online.
路 Live coverage of one other Cup match on TV every season.
路 Live Cup commentaries from every round of the Cup on Radio Scotland and a significant number of ties streamed live on the Internet.
路 Extensive highlights from two matches every round and every goal scored on TV.
路 Exclusive highlights of all Scotland聮s home international matches, including Under 21 qualifying games, for Euro 2004 and the World Cup in 2006.


麻豆社 Scotland聮s Head of Programmes Ken MacQuarrie welcomed the announcement and said it further underlined a commitment to broadcasting the very best Scottish football action.


"In the last few years 麻豆社 Scotland rightly has earned a reputation as the station to watch and listen to Scottish football. This comprehensive package for fans across the country and the fact we have announced another live match when France entertain Scotland in Paris next month - our 20th of the season - is proof of our ongoing commitment," he said.


SFA Chief Executive David Taylor added his backing for the new contract: "We are delighted that Scottish international and Tennent聮s Scottish Cup football will be seen and heard on the 麻豆社 for another four years and that our successful partnership with 麻豆社 Scotland, whose coverage of Scottish football is of the highest quality, will continue," he said.
