Â鶹Éç Magazines appoints Rebekah Billingsley as Mobile Devices Publisher

Â鶹Éç Magazines has appointed Rebekah Billingsley to oversee the publisher's strategy for taking its magazine brands onto mobile devices. Billingsley, who is currently Deputy Digital Director at Hachette Filipacchi (UK) Ltd, will work alongside Â鶹Éç Magazines' editors, publishers and digital teams.

She will report jointly to Â鶹Éç Magazines' Deputy Managing Director, Nicholas Brett, and Â鶹Éç Worldwid'’s Director of Global Web properties, Claude London. The role is based at Â鶹Éç Worldwide's offices in White City, London.

Nicholas Brett said: "We are delighted to have appointed Rebekah into this new role at a very exciting time in the digital development of our magazines. She's a big hitter with lots of experience in the digital world and she'll be working with some great brands and some of the best creative teams in UK magazine-making. It's the perfect match."

Rebekah Billingsley said: "I'm really excited to be joining Â鶹Éç Magazines in this new role. I genuinely believe mobile devices are opening up significant opportunities for publishers with strong brands and I'm thrilled to take up a post that offers such great potential."

Â鶹Éç Magazines already publishes digital versions of fifteen of its magazines following a deal last month with Zinio, the virtual magazine store. It has also launched a range of apps linked to its market-leading titles, including Good Food's Quick Recipes app, which is currently No.1 in Apple's Lifestyle chart.
