Â鶹Éç Worldwide Channels Asia today announced the appointment of Otto Leong, Director, Distribution and Business Development, as part of the pan-regional team responsible for the distribution of Â鶹Éç Entertainment, Â鶹Éç Knowledge, Â鶹Éç Lifestyle, CBeebies and Â鶹Éç World News in Taiwan and China. 

Based in Hong Kong, Otto will also be responsible for driving revenue growth and developing strategic distribution initiatives for the two North Asian territories.

The role will report into Mark Whitehead, SVP and GM of Â鶹Éç Worldwide Channels Asia.

Commenting on Otto's new role, Mark Whitehead said, "We are very excited to have Otto join Â鶹Éç Worldwide Channels to make inroads into Taiwan and China.

He brings a great depth of knowledge, experience and numerous personal relationships that will enable us to leapfrog into the next stage of growth for the channels business."

Otto has over 20 years of experience in media and entertainment programme distribution. 

Prior to joining Â鶹Éç Worldwide Channels Asia, Otto was in charge of all aspects of worldwide distribution for one of Hong Kong’s largest pay-TV services, i-Cable. 

He also set up a satellite channel for Taiwan and China, and has experience in all aspects of the TV business including marketing, sales, production and business development.
