Â鶹Éç Worldwide Press Releases

For the first time ever for Â鶹Éç's programs now available on iTunes store in Canada

The Â鶹Éç today announced that for the first time ever its key shows will be available for purchase and download from the iTunes Store in Canada.  This marks the first time full-length episodes of Â鶹Éç programs are available from a digital outlet in Canada.

Starting today on iTunes, fans can purchase single episodes and entire seasons of award-winning hit Â鶹Éç series including Season 11 of the world's biggest car entertainment series Top Gear,  Season 4 of TV's longest running sci-fi series Doctor Who and Seasons 1 and 2 of the much buzzed about sci-fi series Torchwood.  Following the run of the new miniseries Torchwood: Children of Earth from July 20-24 on SPACE, episodes will be available on iTunes 24 hours after their premiere.  Additional titles will be added to the store in the coming weeks.

Commenting on the deal Hilary Read COO Â鶹Éç Worldwide, Canada said: "Â鶹Éç shows air on a number of Canadian channels, including Â鶹Éç Canada, and have a huge loyal following.  This is the Â鶹Éç's first digital deal specifically for Canada and we're delighted to be partnering with iTunes and offering our fans another way to view our wide range of top quality programs."

Making Â鶹Éç programming available on the iTunes Store is key to the strategy of Â鶹Éç Worldwide, the commercial arm of the Â鶹Éç, in securing the broadest possible distribution for its huge range of television content. Â鶹Éç Worldwide is the first British broadcaster to offer its TV shows for download in Canada.  The new partnership compliments iTunes deals already in place in UK, U.S., France and Germany.

Alongside the company's existing global deals with online outlets such as YouTube, the availability of programming on iTunes brings the Â鶹Éç's content to millions of new Canadian viewers.
