Â鶹Éç Worldwide today announced that Underground Toys has been named licensee in North America and the UK for Torchwood, the highly successful television series from the creators of Doctor Who.

The deal with Underground Toys sees them take on the International distribution of existing Torchwood product and the manufacturing of new lines including mugs, key chains, voice key chains, plastic prop replica items, playing cards and resin busts for the US and UK markets.Ìý

In the US, action figures and Minimates are also included in the deal.Ìý

The products will begin shipping to US and UK speciality stores this summer.
Torchwood is currently enjoying an incredible ratings success in the UK with viewing figures on Â鶹Éç2 of 3.3 million and a first episode peak of 4.22 million.

In the US, it is the most successful series ever to air on Â鶹Éç America.
