Audiocall helps 麻豆社 viewers to lose weight


Audiocall has teamed up with 麻豆社 television to manage its direct response promotion to accompany Diet Trials, a new series covering a major study into diets.


Diet Trials represents the biggest study of its kind, involving 300 volunteers from across Britain, who are testing four of the UK's best-known weight-loss programmes: The Slim-Fast Plan, Weight Watchers Pure Points Programme, Rosemary Conley's 'Eat Yourself Slim' Diet and Fitness Plan and Dr Atkins' New Diet Revolution.


In addition, members of the public will be encouraged to attend off-air Diet Trials events on 5-6 April, where they can approach health advisors on health and fitness issues. The 麻豆社 plans to contact attendees at a later stage to follow-up their progress.


Viewers will be invited to obtain a support pack and interact further in the series by dialing the dedicated phone number (08705 100 770) that is being promoted in the programmes and on the website . The pack will contain a diet diary, pedometer and fridge magnet for 拢6.99. Audiocall is handling the telephone response and lines will stay open until the end of April.


The study, being carried out by the University of Surrey, in collaboration with four other academic centres, will monitor the volunteers' weight and body-fat loss, health, fitness and sense of well being over a six-month period. The results will then be collated and viewers will discover which diet works for which person and who has lost the most weight.

Diet Trials starts on Sunday 16 March at 6pm on 麻豆社1, then airs every Monday to Friday at 7pm until 2 April. An accompanying book is also available from 麻豆社 Books.
