  • First dedicated edition of its listings guide that Radio Times has produced for a third party

NTL and 麻豆社 Worldwide today announced a major new agreement that will offer an exclusive and tailored edition of Radio Times to every NTL Home customer across the UK. Every week it will be delivered directly to subscribers' homes.

Radio Times is the UK's most profitable and successful TV and radio listings magazine. The special NTL edition will contain programme information for NTL channels (including all terrestrial channels), the latest information about NTL's services and offers, plus all the news, features and celebrity interviews that Radio Times is famous for. Front Row's pay per view movies and events will also be included.

The special edition of Radio Times replaces the monthly NTL Guide, which ends in December. Subscribers will be offered the first four, weekly issues of the new title for the same price as the existing monthly magazine. Radio Times will be delivered free to homes in time for the first programme week of January 2003. Both companies will actively and jointly market the new edition.

Aizad Hussain, Managing Director of NTL Home said: "This is another example of NTL adding value to its digital TV service through partnerships with big brands. So far this year we've added over 50 channels, improved the interactive service, shaken up the PPV soccer market and revamped our packages and pricing. There'll be even more great news for NTL customers next year - and now they can read all about it in their very own edition of the UK's most celebrated TV magazine."

Ashley Munday, Publishing Director of Radio Times, said: "We are delighted to be able to provide NTL customers with their very own version of the UK's biggest TV guide. As multi-channel television continues to grow, Radio Times needs to cater for the diverse requirements of viewers across all television platforms. 3.5 million people already read Radio Times every week throughout the UK, Eire and the Channel Islands, and we're confident that NTL customers will enjoy everything it has to offer too."

Radio Times is the discriminating and trusted guide, not just for the broadcasting week, but also for the digital broadcasting age. It provides the pick of each day's viewing, with expert guidance on what's worth watching, whatever your taste. What celebrities such as Ozzy Osbourne and Will Smith have to say in Radio Times regularly makes the headlines. As well as being the UK's most profitable magazine, its also been voted the UK's most reliable media brand and has almost 80 years of experience in the listings field.

NTL offers over 200 digital TV channels, including Front Row, to over 1.2 million households across the UK. In November, NTL and Sainsbury's launched an exclusive interactive TV shopping service which is believed to be the biggest digital interactive TV grocery shopping experience in the world. One of the benefits of NTL's digital TV service is access to a wide choice of films and events through its Front Row service. As a result, on 11 November, NTL's digital TV customers were able to enjoy the British TV premiere of the worldwide phenomenon, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

NTL digital TV customers wishing to subscribe to the new and exclusive edition of Radio Times should call 0800 052 2000.
