Galleon sees business grow with Private Eye

Galleon has taken over the subscription fulfilment business for the fortnightly satirical magazine Private Eye, which is currently handled in house.

With more than 80,000 subscribers, Private Eye is among the top subscription titles in the UK. Subscriptions account for more than a third of its circulation.

Private Eye will be seeking to improve its customer service through Galleon, having been impressed by Galleon's partnership approach to working with clients. Private Eye was also attracted by Galleon's database management capabilities and its electronic subscriptions system, subscribeONLINE.

Says Chris Haslum, General Manager: "Subscriptions are crucial to Private Eye. Many of our readers never subscribe to another magazine and we clearly want to look after them as efficiently as possible. Galleon shares our commitment to good customer service and I'm looking forward to working with them."

Says Galleon's Managing Director Mandy Thwaites: "We are delighted to be welcoming another prestigious title into the Galleon family and one for which subscriptions are such a big part of the business."

In February, Galleon - wholly owned by 麻豆社 Worldwide - took over subscription fulfilment for Hello! magazine.

Notes to Editors:
