Winner of 'World's Ugliest Dog' competition crowned

Martha the Mastiff was crowned the winner of the 29th 'World's Ugliest Dog' competition. She weighs a whopping 57 kilograms and has a seriously droopy face. She is the the same breed as Hagrid's dog Fang from the Harry Potter series. Martha and her owner won a grand prize of $1,500 and a pretty cool trophy too.
Runner-up was Moe, who is a griffin-pug mix and the oldest dog in the competition. His tongue permanently sticks out, and he has lost his hearing and his sight - but apparently he has a very strong sense of smell!
The competition is held every year in California in America, and this Chinese-crested mix dog called Chase, travelled all the way from Neath in Wales to compete. Chase came third in the competition and is also a trained assistance dog!
The dogs were judged on their first impressions, unusual appearance, personality and audience reaction. Josie here was strutting her stuff on the red carpet.
Rascal Deux here has been on America's Got Talent, and is even in a movie - and helps its owner to raise money for charity. Rascal's dad won the competition back in 2002.
Many of the dogs competing have been rescued and have had hard lives. The people who run the competition say it is a celebration of all dogs, showing that they are all lovable, no matter what they look like.
