In pictures: UK Photomarathon in Cardiff
Budding photographer Emma Shepherd, from Efail Isaf, Pontypridd, is the overall winner of UK Photomarathon in Cardiff. This is one of her entries, the Great Outdoors
Emma Shepherd beat 399 other entrants, who were given the task of taking pictures across 12 topics in a 12-hour period. Emma said she was 'completely overwhelmed' after winning first prize. This is her entry in the topic Double
Judge Matthew Talfan said they spent two days viewing the images and 'believe that the winners have each captured the spirit of the competition'. This is My Secret by second placed winner Steve Fung, of Cardiff

Third prize winner was Sarah Barnes, from Cardiff. This is her entry for the topic I Have A Dream
The junior winner was Steffan Edwards, 16, Gwaelod-Y-Garth. This is his entry for Movement
Emma Thomas' entry for the topic Drama was a winner among the 4,800 images the judges had to choose from
Victoria Ahmed's winning entry in the Community topic section
All the images will be displayed in an exhibition at The Cardiff Story until 20 August. This is the winner of the Inside Out topic, Mark Turner
