Hither Green: Man arrested after woman stabbed to death

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was stabbed to death in south-east London.
Police were called to a property in Manor Park, Hither Green, at 23:15 GMT on Wednesday over reports of a stabbing.
Officers forced their way in and found the injured 31-year-old woman. Paramedics gave her treatment but she died at the scene.
The Met said the 24-year-old man had been arrested at a nearby address.
He remains in police custody.
Det Ch Insp Mike Nolan, who is leading the investigation, said: "We know people will be shocked by this incident and I would like to reassure the community that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this investigation."
Ch Supt Louise Sargent, the lead for policing in Lewisham, said police "do not underestimate the impact this has on the local community" and urged anyone with information to contact the Met.
