Two arrested after man injured in Grimsby 'axe' attack

Two men have been arrested after a man was assaulted with what is believed to have been an axe, police have said.
Officers were called to a fight in Stanley Street, Grimsby, at around 15:50 BST on Tuesday 9 April.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.
A 32-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and a 37-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of affray.
Det Insp Darren Gray said: "We are currently in the early stages of our investigation, and I know an incident of this nature is likely to cause concern to the local community, but I would like to offer my reassurance that we do believe this to be an isolated incident.
"Both men remain in our custody while enquiries continue to understand the circumstances around the incident.
"Local residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area over the next few days, conducting patrols and providing reassurance to the community. I would encourage anyone who may have concerns to please come and speak to our officers.
"Anyone who has any information, or has CCTV or dashcam footage which may assist with our enquiries can contact us on our non-emergency number."
