Winter jabs call for Kent and Medway patients
- Published
Kent and Medway health bosses are urging those eligible for a flu or Covid vaccine to book an appointment.
The over-65s, care home residents, pregnant women, people with certain health conditions and frontline health and social care workers can get their free NHS jab from 3 October.
Dr Kate Langford, chief medical officer at NHS Kent and Medway, warned of the dangers of delaying vaccinations.
“As we head into the colder months, Covid-19 and flu can be dangerous for those at higher risk of severe illness," she said.
“With winter approaching, it’s important to protect yourself and your loved ones by getting your vaccinations.
“I would encourage everyone eligible to book their vaccines as soon as possible."
Bookings can be made online, on the NHS App, by calling 119 for free or through a GP practice.
