Two people were taken to hospital after a fire in a restaurant.

Firefighters attended the blaze at Lona Grill House and Juice Bar on Gloucester Road in Bristol on Sunday, at 20:54 BST.

On arrival, crews found a fire in a two-storey building used as flats and a restaurant. Two casualties had to be taken to hospital.

Avon and Rescue Fire Service said the cause of the incident is thought to have been accidental.

A fire service spokesperson said: "12 firefighters wearing breathing apparatus attended, crews used six hose reel jets and three 45mm jets to extinguish the fire.

"A turntable ladder was also in use for observations.

"Police colleagues were also in attendance."
