Woman injured in crash involving police car

A woman was injured after a crash involving a police car responding to an emergency call.
It happened on Springwell Road, at the junction with Durham Road, Sunderland, on Wednesday, just before 20:00 GMT.
Emergency services attended the scene and one of the passengers in the other vehicle received a "minor injury" to her leg, Northumbria Police said.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing, the force added.
