Hundreds of beer fans set to attend festival
The opening of the Isle of Man Beer and Cider Festival saw the pouring of the first pint of an ale specially brewed to mark the RNLI's 200th anniversary.
President of the Douglas branch Peter Cain, who was the first to sample Okell's SOS bitter, said the lifesaving organisation was "delighted" the ale had been crafted in its honour.
Mr Cain said the support the RNLI, which has its roots in the island, had received in its anniversary year from residents and organisations had been "amazing".
Hundreds of people are set to attend the celebration of beers, ciders and wines which runs until Sunday.
