Fire breaks out at restaurant near Bank of England
A fire at a restaurant close to the Bank of England has been brought under control, London Fire Brigade (LFB) says.
Firefighters were called just before 16:00 BST to Lothbury, a short street in the City of London, where smoke was seen billowing into the sky from a ground-floor kitchen, which was partially alight.
Four fire engines and about 25 firefighters from Shoreditch, Dockhead, Shadwell and surrounding stations attended.
The London Fire Brigade said there were offices above the restaurant and warned of possible traffic issues in the area as crews leave the scene.
