Rock thrown from bridge smashes into truck

A truck was hit by a rock thrown from a bridge overlooking a major road.
Cleveland Police have issued a warning after the incident on Tuesday, which happened on the A66 near to West Lane and Barnaby Avenue in Middlesbrough.
Police said the rock was thrown from a pedestrian bridge and hit the passing truck at 14.20 BST, smashing the windscreen.
PC Richard Davison said the driver had not been injured but was "shaken and disturbed by what happened".
Police are asking anyone with information to contact police on 101.
