'Malicious' social media user charged after riots
A man has been charged with alleged malicious communications, following racist rioting and counter-protests across the UK.
A 34-year-old man from Ewloe, Flintshire, was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Llandudno Magistrates' Court on Friday.
North Wales Police said the investigation "followed the posting of material on a social media site and was connected with the ongoing national tensions".
Chief Constable Amanda Blakeman said: "I would like to remind the public of north Wales that we take any allegation of criminality, whether committed online or in person, extremely seriously."
