School 'blackmailed' by hackers in cyber-attack

A school in Devon says it has been hit by a cyber-attack and is being "blackmailed" by hackers.
Lampard Community School in Barnstaple said it was taking the attack "extremely seriously".
It said: "The school is being blackmailed by external criminals intent on stealing information."
Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were aware of the attack and inquiries were ongoing.
The school added: "The police are aware, and all relevant authorities have been informed.
"Please be assured that everyone is taking this extremely seriously as the safety of the data we hold is of the upmost importance.
"Thank you for all your support, and we will update you on the situation when we are able to do so."
Officers said: "Anyone who is affected by the incident will be contacted by Lampard Community School in due course."
The 麻豆社 has contacted the Information Commissioner's Office for comment.
