Two people have been taken to hospital after a serious early morning house fire in Denbighshire.

Three fire crews were sent to the blaze in Marsh Road, Rhyl, at 05:20 BST on Sunday.

The casualties were treated at the scene by firefighters before being taken to hospital by paramedics.

An investigation found it was accidental and possibly caused by a candle, said North Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

The condition of the casualties is not known.
