DIY SOS: The Big Build Children in Need Special
Ep. 1/4
The DIY SOS team descend on Caswell Bay, Swansea, as they embark on a build in aid of 麻豆社 Children in Need, transforming a dilapidated out of use bus shelter - into the first purpose built, fully adaptive surf centre in the world for Surfability UK, which receives funding from 麻豆社 Children in Need.
The special programme shares a collection of stories from children and young people who have benefitted from the support of Surfability UK, and shows the immeasurable impact that their surf sessions have on those who experience them.
The programme follows the trials and tribulations of the team, volunteers and tradespeople as they navigate their first build during Covid-19 - having to follow robust guidelines and social distancing measures to ensure the safety of all involved whilst trying to complete the build on time.
