Media Action is working on a -supported programme to enhance the capacity of the Ukrainian TV station 鈥� Hromadske TV. The station was set up by a group of independent-minded journalists in 2013 as the first media outlet in Ukraine incorporated as a non-governmental organisation.
Our project aims to ensure that audiences across Ukraine have access to independent news coverage and quality factual programming. By providing training and mentoring to Hromadske TV鈥檚 news and programme departments, we鈥檙e helping to improve the station鈥檚 newsgathering and news production operations, ensuring that outputs across TV, online, and social media are better integrated through a multi-platform newsroom.
We鈥檙e also working with the station to help them develop non-news formats across their schedule, to attract a wider audience to their independent programming.
