Commonwealth Games live chat

Live chat

Visitors joined in our live chat on Thursday 1 August, with athletes Tanni Grey-Thompson, Kanukai Jackson and Beth Tweddle from 6pm - 7pm.

Tanni Grey-Thompson is one of Britain's greatest competitors with nine paralympic golds. She missed out on a medal this time but has just returned from having a baby. This Games is the first where wheelchair athletes have been given equal standing in competition.

Kanukai Jackson was the star turn in the male gynmastics. He won individual and team gold as well as silver on the vault and pommell horse.

Fellow gymnast Beth Tweddle took the G-Mex by storm when she won gold on the uneven bars. She also won individual silver and team silver at the Games.
