Liverpool Tens of thousands of people are expected to witness Liverpool's November 5th displays which will be synchronised to music, in recognition of Liverpool Performs 2006. Displays will be taking place at Walton Hall Park, Newsham Park and Sefton Park, all from 7pm. There will be no river-based display this year. The Sefton Park location has also changed from 2005 to the Review Field. This is located off Croxteth Drive, close to Cleopatra's Needle Monument and Solna Hotel. Both Mersey Road In Runcorn and St.Marys Road in Widnes are the prime viewing areas, but be aware that you need to get to either venue early to make sure you can see the whole of the waterfront. Crowds start arriving at 6.30pm to get prime viewing sites along the River banks. If you don't want to be part of a larger crowd try Astmoor, Weston Road, and Wigg Island in Runcorn, Pickerings Pasture and the Trans-Pennine Trail in Widnes which are not main viewing sites, but the spectacle can still be seen. The theme for this years music will be transport to conicide with the progress being made on the New Mersey Crossing.

Bonfires built before or after the accepted period will also be removed. |
