A first half goal from Hannah Atherton settled the game in favour of Fitwell Girls. The goal created from a defence splitting pass from Cara Mallett was just reward for the amount of pressure and chances created by the girls. With captain Megan Clarke unable to start the game due to a injury and Onomey Ovien unavailable for the start of the game , Ella Mcgerty and Hannah Atherton came into the side. The team started brightly and soon put Brazil B under pressure and kept up a high tempo, only poor finishing and the performance of the opposition keeper, kept the score level until Hannah finished off a good move to make it 1-0. The defence with Lanre Calder and Lisa Hampson again rock solid, were breached only once in the first half and it took a fine save from Abbie Fox to keep a clean sheet. The second half saw a host of substitutions and once the girls settled down they managed to keep up the good performance. Onomey Ovien and Ashlea McFarlane played well in defence and Erin Elis-O'Brien, Emily Clarke, Elle Molloy and Grace Tollitt worked hard closing the ball down in midfield and coz of their good work, Hope De Asah in goal was rarely troubled. The elusive second goal was proving hard to come by, but after a good passing movement allowed Lisa Hampson unmarked in the area and with only the keeper to beat to managed to fool us all and miss. The final whistle soon went and another win and clean sheet for the girls. Player of the match was Onomey Ovien for a solid display in defence.ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý
