Ayo was a contestant on Best Home Cook. He is an accountant from South London, who began cooking seriously as a student. He started trying to recreate his mother’s Nigerian home cooking and has never stopped. He’s an experimental cook, not afraid to break cooking conventions. The only rule he abides by is that his dishes must have big flavours. As well as his Nigerian heritage, he’s inspired by his travels and his favourite ingredient is a scotch bonnet.
