CHVRCHES
Fri 27 Jun 2014 John Peel Stage
Friday fun from Glasgow's finest

For a band surrounded by the hypest of hype, CHVRCHES are experts when it comes to playing it cool. After a fifth place finish in the Â鶹Éç Sound Of 2013 poll, the Glasgow trio have been THE name to drop. With memorably stylish tracks such as Recover and The Mother We Share, the group have fashioned a lovely corner for themselves producing synthpop, influenced by Prince, Robyn and Depeche Mode. There’s not much they can’t turn their hand to either, as demonstrated when they produced a very credible cover of East 17’s Stay Another Day.

Following their dazzling homecoming show at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in May, get yourself along to see them at Glastonbury and immerse yourselves into cuts from their 2013 album, The Bones Of What You Believe.
