Turntable artist Shiva Feshareki samples an orchestra live in a work described as a ‘sonic sculpture between electronic and acoustic sound.’
Dialogue was premiered by the Â鶹Éç Concert Orchestra in 2018 and now receives further performances at Hull's City Hall and London's Queen Elizabeth Hall as part of the New Music Biennial in July 2019.
Feshareki’s improvisations seem to bend time and space, in duet with the resonant soundscape of the orchestra. The composer’s work experiments with electronic and club music, concert and orchestral music, fine art and free improvisation. This composition demonstrates all the diverse elements of her craft, intricately woven into one.
This is the second of two free ticketed concerts on this date.
