Concert Information

The Â鶹Éç Singers present an afternoon of contemporary choral music from south of the equator, with works by composers from New Zealand and Australia, conducted by New Zealander Tecwyn Evans.

Drawing inspiration from Australian Aboriginal Dreaming, Stephen Leek’s distinctive Great Southern Spirits bursts with natural sounds from the Australian outback depicted vocally across four compelling a capella movements: Wirindji, Mulga, Kondalilla and Uluru. Shorter works by Leonie Holmes, David Griffiths and Jenny McLeod complete this programme at St Paul’s church Knightsbridge.

This concert is recorded for broadcast on Â鶹Éç Radio 3’s Afternoon on 3.

Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that as not everyone who asks for tickets uses them, to make sure we have a full house we send out more tickets than there are places. We do our best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately we occasionally have to disappoint people so please arrive early.
