麻豆社 SO PLUS FAMILY is a series of free interactive, family-friendly workshops which introduce the music of the 麻豆社 SO concerts at the Barbican, including a 拢5 ticket offer (plus booking fee*) for the evening concert.
A magical musical adventure from start to finish, with the 麻豆社 Symphony Orchestra working their hardest as they play one of the trickiest pieces there is, Strauss鈥檚 swashbuckling Don Juan. There are more thrills in a 鈥榮aga鈥� told by Sibelius, who said of this piece that 鈥榯he whole of my youth is contained within it鈥�. Stravinsky鈥檚 glittering Suite from The Firebird is a breathtaking masterpiece, and there鈥檚 Grieg鈥檚 magnifcent Piano Concerto, with its famous opening. Not to be missed!

Suitable for newcomers and music fans alike. If you play an instrument, bring it along as there will be an opportunity for you to join in. For families or school groups with children between the ages of 8 and 16. At least one of your group must be aged 16 or under. These concerts are not recommended for children under the age of 8.
