Calling all Musical Astronauts! Are you ready to ride in a rocket, dance among the stars, and walk on the Moon? Then fasten your seatbelts and join the sensational Â鶹Éç Symphony Orchestra as they go on a magical musical journey into space.
Fifty years after Neil Armstrong first stepped onto the Moon, it’s your turn to Lift Off! with the help of some incredible music including Aaron Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, Ron Grainer’s Theme from Doctor Who, and Hans Zimmer’s Earth, in our thrilling, interactive orchestral adventure.

Grab a cushion or a chair, make yourself comfortable, and listen to author Simon Bartram tell magical stories from outer space…
Crafting: 12:00-14:30 (free flow sessions) – Clubstage
Head on down to the Clubstage to try your hand at some out-of-this-world arts and crafts…
Journey Through Music: 12:00-12:40 & 13:15-13:55 – Fountain Room
Join percussionist Ruairi Glasheen and members of the Â鶹Éç Symphony Orchestra in a fun and interactive introduction to the music you’ll hear in the afternoon concert. Beginners and budding musicians welcome. If you have an instrument, bring it along! If you don’t, just bring yourself!
Try an Instrument: 12:00-14:30 – various locations around the foyer
Follow the music and find our musicians… Try out a trumpet in the brass section, strum a chord on the ukulele or bang a drum in the percussion section!
Please note that although there will be plenty for everyone to do, spaces at some workshops will be limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
