The girl with the mane of a lion, and the claws and roar of a lioness, takes her first trip to Worthy Farm, after having spent a good deal of the last three years writing and performing her songs with a startling collection of musical talents. It started with a Bastille mixtape, on which she sang TLC’s No Scrubs over Angels by The xx, and it wasn’t long before Rudimental came calling to get her to add that astonishing voice - half roar, half purr - to their No.1 hit single Waiting All Night.
This lead to her runner-up position in the Â鶹Éç’s Sound of 2014 and the BRIT Critics’ Choice award, and after that, the flood gates opened. She could be heard bringing the emotional wallop to songs for Naughty Boy (Think About It, with Wiz Khalifa), Tinie Tempah (Someday (Place in the Sun)) and DJ Fresh (Gravity, a No.4 hit). Not to mention her own hits If I Go and Comeback, and her debut album Feline, onwhich she could finally take her rightful place in the spotlight, as the, uh, mane attraction.
