What is there that hasn’t already been said about Johnny Marr? Writer of some of the most famous guitar riffs of all time, an in-demand producer and collaborator for everyone from Neil Tennant to Matt Johnson and 50% of a songwriting alliance which transformed independent music with The Smiths, the word ‘legend’ couldn't be more appropriate.

After stints playing with The Cribs and Modest Mouse, Johnny’s embarked on a successful solo career which saw his debut LP ‘The Messenger’ released in February last year - picking up support from our very own Shaun Keaveny – and playing a triumphant Glastonbury performance.

With his sophomore solo album ‘Playland’ released the same day as his Maida Vale session and the first single ‘Easy Money’ sitting a-top the 6 Music playlist, Johnny’s performance should be a cracking way to start our week of live music.
