My husbands 2x gt grandmother Elizabeth Denton c.1818 Warrington.
She married Joseph Senior in Warrington 1845.They had 5 sons & 2 daughters.
In 1881c they are in North Woolwich where Joseph worked as a storeman at a sugar refinery.I don't have a date of death for Elizabeth but somewhere along the way I have the possibility that Joseph married again.
The Seniors family were originally from Wrexham but moved about between Warrington & North Woolwich. In 1891 Joseph was back in Warrington & died there in 1894 8C102.
I have nothing where Elizabeth Denton is concerned,no parents names, date of birth, siblings.Only her date of marriage to Joseph who was a Wesleyan Methodist. Any Denton info would be of help.

    Thank you for this

I do have Winwick pencilled in my notes & both baptisms are at St Oswalds Winwick.
Possible I suppose that their fathers are brothers living in the same area of Warrington with the name Denton.
Now which one is relevant to my search?

Now that is a quick re-marriage & once again they had gone back to the London area. Its amazing with these Seniors as through 3 generations they are backwards & forwards between there & Warrington.Josephs eldest son was born Warrington 1846,married London 1866,back to Warrington then by 1871 back in Woolwich(his wife was from Rochdale)then by 1881c back to Warrington.

As far as I know there were no children born after 1860.So do you know the age of Hannah & could there have been more children from her.

All the children born Winwick with a search 1815 + 20 years

Perhaps if you look at the naming patterns from the childrens names in the family to give you a clue to who was named after who

Yes Bashfuljan 157 I am sure this is them.

Although I gave Joseph Senior as working in the sugar refinery previously I didn't
know that he had then gone on to be a Wire Drawer.
That was also the occupation of his eldest son George Senior.
    Thank you for your help

The link seems not to be working so search for lan-opc and go to the search page and select the parish for Winwick 33530 and a search box page will open just add the surname Denton and years 1815 + - 20years and it will bring all the births up with parents and all info

Thank you for this ,I see that Hannah was a widow & obviously at her age no more children so that has sorted that out.
at the moment I am still trawling through the websites trying to find who the possible parents of Elizabeth Denton were.I am very grateful for all the info sent but it is still not easy trying to do a match on all the births of Denton children to come up with the correct answer. At the moment I am leaning towards James & Margaret but I really need a positive clue. Dohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
