I half heard on Gardeners Question Time programme that you can make your own nematode spray to control slugs from the contents of beer traps. Anyone got the recipe?
I have never heard of this-was it on last weeks programme?
-if so it will be on i-player for you to listen again
It was a few weeks ago. I think I'll have to listen to all my downloaded programmes!
I asked that question a couple of weeks ago and most people didn't think it worked. Not sure if you can search my threads but you could try that or slug or nematod.

That's really interesting! Recent research has shown that slugs are naturally infested with nematodes and don't live long. If they drown in a beer trap, it's logical that the nematodes will come out of the body and into the solution. I'm unfortunately not a believer in buying nematodes to top up the natural population in the soil. Besides, they take ages to kill the slugs. Here's an interesting discussion:
